Availability in India
The Vivo V20 is up for grabs in India via Amazon India. The handset is available in four colour options - Matte Black, Silver, Moonlight Silver, and Twilight Gold. The smartphone will go on sale from Thursday, March 2 exclusively via Amazon India. In the Amazon India launch offer, Vivo V20 buyers will be entitled to an additional Rs. 2,000 off as no cost EMI, Rs. 3,000 Amazon Pay cashback, and 15 percent instant discount on purchase of a SBI credit card. Moreover, 10 percent cashback will be offered to Amazon Prime users. The company is also offering a free data offer for Kindle readers, 2TB extra data to Reliance Jio users, and free one-time screen replacement within first two years.

The Vivo V20 will be available in India from December 1. The dual-SIM Vivo V20 runs Funtouch OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat and features a 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 393ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC (up to 2GHz) coupled with Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB of RAM. Vivo has provided 128GB of onboard storage on the Vivo V20 that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). In terms of optics, the Vivo V20 has a dual rear camera setup that consists of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and a secondary 5-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, the smartphone has a 24-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
Conclusion
We have seen that Android smartphone manufacturers have been steadily offering multiple storage variants to give their devices a competitive edge. In the same vein, the company that originally popularised an option for memory expansion has now brought forth another variant in India. Vivo V20 also has Android 11 and a triple camera setup on the rear. While it is an affordable variant and aims to appeal to the masses, there are more premium options to choose from. Vivo V9, for example, comes with a dual rear camera and a higher price tag of Rs. 24,990. There’s no official word on the price of the new variant yet. However, with the launch of Android 11, it will be interesting to see how Vivo positions the Vivo V20 and what it offers for a price point of Rs. 24999.
